Maya Jacob

I am a creative producer and entertainment industry consultant working across film, theatre, and cultural projects. I develop, produce, and support creative ideas from their earliest stages through to execution — working with artists, institutions, and creative teams to shape projects, build strategies, and bring ambitious ideas to life.

Born in Lyon — the city that invented cinema — I grew up between France and Morocco, surrounded by books, theatre, and film. From an early age, I was drawn to light: how it shapes faces, landscapes, and meaning. That curiosity led me first to photography, then to studying cinema, learning to bring French techniques into conversation with Moroccan stories and landscapes.

I later moved to New York to complete my BFA at NYU, where my work expanded across film and theatre. Since then, I have built a practice around creating and supporting stories, productions, and cultural experiences that reflect multicultural perspectives and new ways of engaging with audiences.

I began my professional career at FATTER Productions as a Film & TV Director, before moving into producing across film and theatre. Today, I am FATTER’s Creative Director, helping shape our artistic vision, developing projects, and bringing productions from concept to reality.

Alongside my creative practice, I work as a consultant and project developer, supporting artists, organisations, and cultural institutions with creative development, production, programming, strategy, and project implementation.

Through Niño Productions, I continue to develop and produce independent work while collaborating on projects across the wider entertainment and cultural landscape.
